South-West Crete

In 2002 I was exploring the idea of a Vision Quest/Healing Journey for Women to the Healing Temple at Lissos, SW coast of Crete. Many women were naturally drawn to this site, and wanted a guided visit. All had personal issues to be healed there, and there were some beautiful moments shared in the stillness and privacy of the temple site.

I would like to continue this work, and I am calling forward all women who would like to journey to this extraordinary and powerful place, and create a Women’s Healing Circle, who would meet and journey to spend time at Lissos on each Full Moon

This year I will keep the MOONDANCING project open, and if there are enough people, I will happily put together a Pilgrimage Tour for interested groups.

A Vision Quest & Healing Journey for Women
Including Pilgrimage to ancient Healing Temple of Lissos

Come to Crete, land of freedom and sunshine, and blue, blue skies, where rugged mountains meet turquoise seas, where dolphins swim and life is peaceful and lazy in the languid heat.

Come dance in the olive groves and swim in the sea. Explore this ancient Goddess land and journey deep into your soul, close to the earth, play in the sunshine and keep vigil under moonlit skies.

Crete is a powerful place of transformation, a deep dive into our collective psyche, where our nocturnal dreams surface into conscious awareness, and where our ancient memories are stirred and we remember the wisdom of who we really are.

We will together embark on a shamanic journey tapping into the ancient wisdom and archetypes of Crete, visiting sacred sites and connecting with the healing energies of this ancient land.
Be prepared for a dramatic shift in consciousness as old wounds resurface to be blessed and transformed, and we remember and reclaim the power and purity of the priestess within.

We will journey to the ancient ruined city of Lissos with the healing temple of Asklepios, a place of great power and haunting beauty. It is here that I invite you to return with me to heal our old unacknowledged wounds, and to reclaim our power and birthright as healers, shamans, priestesses and artists. Here we will keep vigil through the night of the Full Moon to heal and transform our collective history. It will be a powerful night of magic, vision and initiation!

You may wish to extend your holiday for another week or so, to explore more fully the beauty of the island and to integrate the healing journey; in which case I am happy to recommend local accommodation and advise on boats and places of outstanding beauty.

We will explore our creativity through dance, painting, clay, drawing and dream-work, in a beautiful environment, outside in Nature, close to the earth and the sea. There will be plenty of opportunity to walk through spectacular mountain scenery or take optional boat to trips to other coastal villages of great beauty, as well as swim, sunbathe, play, paint or write to your heart’s content!

Extra information: Please bring strong shoes for walking, a torch, a sleeping bag for the night at Lissos, your favourite art materials, journal, sarong or scarves to dance with, plus drum/percussion instrument if you have one.

Christa Fox I am a visionary artist, dancer and healer who has recently moved from Glastonbury, England, a place of powerful transformation, to live on Crete, my adopted spiritual home. I feel a great love and deep connection with the island, having lived here in my early 20’s, and it calls me back time and time again.

COST OF HOLIDAY
£395 Sterling per person.
This includes beautiful accommodation in twin-bedded rooms, with shower room, group use of shared kitchen, breakfast and a snack lunch. It includes all course materials (paper, paints, clay etc), but participants are invited to bring any favourite art materials with them, plus a journal to write in.
It includes a share in a Hired car.
Cost does NOT INCLUDE flights, transfers, insurance or meals. Please allow about £15 for extras, food and drinks.

FLIGHTS
Flights to Chania are every Tuesday from the UK . Please book your flight early to avoid disappointment. To coordinate flights and times of arrival please contact Christa before confirming flights.

We will be based at Metacom, an ecological centre, 1.5 km outside Anidri, close to Paleochora on the south-west coast of Crete. The area around Metacom has been designated a nature reserve, with a lovely walk through a gorge to the nearest beach. It is 3 km to the lovely coastal resort of Paleochora, from where there is a regular ferry boat service to other coastal villages of great beauty, including Sougia, Agia Roumeli and Loutro.
